ABOUT

1972 CB 500

It all started in 1985 when I was five years old. I wandered off into the woods behind my parents house and found a minibike in a scrap pile and wheeled it home. From that moment on, I was hooked on motorcycles and anything with an engine.

Fast forward to 1996, I got a start in my career when Fort’s Industrial Engines hired me on to work on small engines. The combination of working on small engines and machine shop experience helped me get a foot in the door at Pittsburgh Cycle Center. I found this Honda and Kawasaki dealership just south of Pittsburgh while attending art school right after 9-11 happened. They offered me a full time position and to send me to Honda and Kawasaki school to become a certified technician. So, I dropped out of school and began my career in the power-sports industry late in the winter of 2002.

I worked at the dealership and a privately owned shop until 2005 when I decided to take on a job with Harley-Davidson and Buell in R&D as a test rider. March of 2006 I switched careers and with the experience I had with working in a machine shop, small engines, dealership experience and R&D. I became an Instructor at the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. I wanted to give back to the people that love motorcycles as much as I do. I worked this job for almost eleven years and made some great friends, and I learned a lot.

Now that I had pulled a Forrest Gump and traveled from one ocean to another ocean and done just about everything you could do in the motorcycle industry, I decided I finally wanted to become the captain of my own ship. I was a certified technician with almost 25 years experience in the industry. It was time to look for shop space.
